San Jose Scottish Rite Foundation Scholarship Application

Thank you for your interest in the San Jose Scottish Rite Foundation Scholarship. This application is used by the Scholarship Selection Committee to evaluate eligibility, financial need, academic performance, character, and personal achievement.

Applicants may complete and submit this application online or download and submit a printed version by mail. Official transcripts must still be mailed directly from the applicant’s school.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Graduate from a public high school located in Monterey, San Benito, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, or San Luis Obispo County

Be a resident of California at the time of application

Be a United States citizen
-
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Demonstrate financial need
-
Be accepted for admission to a fully accredited college or university in a standard academic program

Submit a complete application by the stated deadline

Have an official sealed transcript sent directly to the San Jose Scottish Rite

Scholarship awards are granted at the sole discretion of the Scholarship Selection Committee.
About the San Jose Scottish Rite Foundation
​
The San Jose Scottish Rite of Freemasonry is part of a worldwide fraternal organization devoted to fellowship, high ideals, community service, and charitable works. The Foundation’s primary charity is the San Jose Childhood Language Center, which provides free services to children with significant speech, language, and reading disorders.
Application Instructions

This application is the primary means by which the Committee evaluates applicants.

Applicants are encouraged to be thoughtful, complete, and accurate.

Supporting materials may be uploaded, including letters of recommendation, certificates, and documentation that provide additional insight.

Question II must be handwritten. Applicants completing the online form must upload a scanned copy or photo of their handwritten response.

All handwritten materials must be legible and in ink.

Materials submitted will not be returned.
