The Scottish Rite  of Freemasonry, through scholarship grants, Rite Care Clinics helping children to communicate, and patriotic programs, benefits communities across the nation in direct and dynamic ways every day of the year.
The purpose of the ROTC award is to recognize an outstanding cadet in the second year or third year of a 4-year program. The award consists  of a medal, ribbon, and certificate. The medal depicts the heraldic double-headed eagle logo of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry.
Those chosen must have contributed the most among cadets on campus to encourage and demonstrate patriotism by deeds or conduct.  During participation in extracurricular activities or community projects, they need to have demonstrated a potential for outstanding leadership by exhibiting qualities of dependability, good character, self discipline, good citizenship and patriotism. They must have also demonstrated academic excellence by being the top 25% of his/her academic class.
We have been honored to present the award to 16 cadets at 15 Schools this year.
I want to give special thanks to our presenters of these certificates and medals; Bro. Dave Gibson 32˚ KCCH, Bro. Laurence Connell 32˚, and Bro. Dee Ayre 32˚ KCCH. These gentlemen, on their own time, presented the certificates and medals to the cadets at their respective ceremonies. We are privileged and appreciative of their participation.
The following High Schools and Colleges requested us to be a part of their Ceremonies:
  • Santa Clara University, San Jose State University, Yerba Buena H.S., Oak Grove H.S.,
  • Soledad H.S., Mt. Pleasant H.S., Everett Alvarez H.S., Andrew Hill H.S., Del Mar H.S.,
  • Prospect H.S., Branham H.S., Seaside H.S., Milpitas H.S., and Overfelt H.S.
Congratulations Cadets !

We look forward to our continued involvement with the ROTC Program in the years to come.
