At the August 12th stated meeting and dinner at the San Jose Scottish Rite,  members, their wives, escorts and friends, dressed informally, entered into the dining room filled with the aroma of down home cooking and quickly gathered into friendly groups for conversation.
All present quickly stepped up for sweet, fresh fruit selections and other delightful appetizers at the hors d' oeuvre table. The beverage bar, as always, was a popular meeting place --groups of two or three enjoying their wine selection and talking with their friends.
The menu for the evening included center cut pork loin, smoked turkey breast.  The meal was delicious and cooked-just-right, with mashed potatoes, gravy, mixed green salad, fresh and local with various dressings, pasta for vegetarian, coffee, tea and a tasty desert.
As always, members and guests were attended to by a dining room staff in red aprons--and who are always ready to assist at meal time. Thanks dining room staff.
Grace Stephens and MaryLou Johnson provided table decorations; always just right for the dinner theme.
Join us for our monthly Scottish Rite dinner meetings on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Contact Mary Lou Johnson at the Center -- 408.978.7483.
Keep in mind that the monthly dinner meetings provide all members with an opportunity to meet informally with other members and officers and do some preliminary planning for other Masonic events.
