Into a dining room decorated with varied and vibrant colors - reds, greens and whites - Cinco de Mayo colors, Scottish Rite members, their wives, escorts and friends eagerly lined up at the hors d oeuvre table to sample the simple but tasty offerings. After placing ample hors d oeuvres on their plates, our members and guests settled down to beautifully decorated tables (thanks to Oscar, Felipe, Marylou Johnson and Grace Stephens) and enjoyed with their friends while waiting for the main courses.
The Cinco de Mayo dinner included Mexican steak rancheros, and, many sought second helpings,  It, was obvious that Scottish Rite monthly dinner attendees like tasty Mexican food.
The beverage bar, with excellent selections of reds and whites, was, as always, well stocked and two efficient members were busy pouring the fine selections for the members and guests who stood in a long queue at the beverage bar.
Our desert was a simple, but tasty, ice cream treat.
If you enjoy good food and fellowship with your friends while dining out, give San Jose Scottish Rite's monthly dinner a try. Telephone Mary Lou Johnson - 408.978.7483 to make your dinner reservation(s).
Monthly dinner, 2nd Tuesday of each month, except October.
