First I would like to thank John Unger, our Jr. Past Wise Master for a great year and I hope that I can continue in his footsteps.  We have a fine corps of officers in the Chapter and we look forward to a very productive year.  As Wise Master, I have decided to bring to our monthly  Rite News, besides our normal announcements about our activities,  snippets of information about the Knights Rose Croix of a  historical and philosophical nature.  I hope you will find them tantalizing enough to perhaps dig about  them on the web.
This month the information comes from the University of Bradford (UK).  They name the  18th degree (Knights Rose Croix) the second degree of the Philosophical Series.   The argument or synopsis of the degree has the Novice still in search of the Truth and the Lost Word and he journeys for a period of years, learning the three virtues, which are to guide him from a place of horror and gloom.  He merges, at the appointed time, the sacred initials giving glory to Masonry and light and life to the world.  To be continued ...
