From the Wise Master (March, 2009)

Another month is upon us and much has happened in the recent weeks, the biggest of which having been our recent reunion with the new Degree scripts and many new participants.  The seven new Scottish Rite Brethren were treated to the updated degrees that were spearheaded by Degree Director Hal Leister as well as individual Degree Directors and behind the scenes work-of-ten-guys performed by Bob Rowan.
The new Degrees appear to be much more modern when delivered and, in my opinion, seem to be easier to understand as well as more interesting.  We at Rose Croix hosted a portion of the reunion and were directly involved in preparing breakfast and lunch on Saturday, with the help of many others.  And just so you hear it from me first, I forgot to put out the potato salad and the veggie fixin’s for the burgers.  My bad memory struck.
The catered meal for the dinner and ring/capping ceremony was again superbly done by Greg the caterer.  The attendance for the reunion, dinner, and ceremony was very lightly attended and I would urge all who can attend and participate in the future that they will absolutely, without a doubt, enjoy the event as well as learn from it.  Also, don’t forget to keep you ears open for any Master Masons who might be interested in becoming a Scottish Rite Mason.
I look forward to seeing everybody at Tuesday’s stated meeting on the second Tuesday of each month and will bring any and all scheduling information that I have forgotten to list here.
