From the Venerable Master (March, 2014)

Greetings Brethren All,

We realize and understand that life’s circumstances don't always permit some of us to attend lodge. Your engagement with us is always appreciated. History has a beginning, a middle and someday, an end. We can all choose where we spend our time and talents. I choose the middle. How about you?
In that spirit, I call upon and charge you all to write a paper. It can be a few sentences or a few pages, but favor us with an article on education, history, personal experiences, anecdotes or any other subject that can enrich our Great Valley, your Brothers and the community. Feel free to let your thoughts take you where they will. The best way to have a good idea is to have lots of ideas. We are much more creative then we give ourselves credit for. Free your mind today and see how many interesting ideas you can come up with. Even if it turns out that none of them have practical value, we will still benefit from the creativity you set free. Learning is a treasure that will follow us everywhere. Some of us have spent years in school, some of us have shelves full of books, some of us seek advice and counsel of experts, some of us try to find answers on our own. We stop learning when we stop asking questions and looking for the answers. Masons never need to stop learning. Freemasons don't think of learning as a formal education. It is something we do every day. Seize the power of Brotherly love by action. We are grateful for all you do.
Your paper will be fully accredited unless you don't wish to have your name published in the Rite Word.
Quote of the day "Happiness is a perfume you can not pour on others without getting a few drops on yourself."

Fraternally,
Joseph DaSilva, 32° KCCH
