My Brothers and their Ladies and Families,

The noise of popcorn popping, the sizzle of the hamburgers and hotdogs cooking, the fizz of the root beer floats being made and the crunch of nachos greeted the Scottish Rite members and their  family and friends as they entered the first movie night of 2015, sponsored by the Lodge of Perfection. These guests ate and filled their popcorn bags and got their root beer floats before sitting down to watch the musical classic Marry Poppins. Everyone that attended agreed that it was a very fun and exciting night. Some who attended had never seen the musical before and commented that they don't make them like they used to.
It was unfortunate that not all members who signed up attended and did not call to cancel their reservation. This led to having much food leftover, some of which had to be thrown away. Please my brothers, if you do sign up for an event we would love to have you attend but if you cannot, please call and cancel your reservation. I would like to thank the Lodge of Perfection, Brother's Tom Bergevin, Randy Downy, and Gregg Hall who did outstanding work getting food, setting up, cooking and cleaning up. It is always a privilege to work with these Brothers.
The next Lodge of Perfection event will take place on Saturday August 29th at the Steinbeck Museum in Salinas, after which we will meet in Monterey for lunch or dinner. More information on this event to come.

Fraternally,
Jack Harris  -  Venerable Master
