From the Venerable Master (October, 2007)

Our Fall Reunion is “just around the corner,” and we need everyone’s help to line up candidates for this class. I suggest that every member of this Valley make a special effort to attend his blue lodge stated meetings in October and November, and identify potential candidates. If you need applications mailed to you, please call the office.

Our Reunion Director, Hal Leister, has introduced several innovations to make this reunion a very special event. It will commence with registration at 1:30 pm on Friday, November 16th, and the conferral of the degrees will be completed by 1:00 pm on Saturday, followed by a first rate, catered banquet at 7:00 pm.

This event will truly be a “reunion” in the full sense of the word, and all members are invited to participate in whatever capacity they wish. Hal would certainly welcome help in preparing and serving the Saturday morning breakfast, setting up for the banquet, helping with the stage and wardrobe work, etc. Even if you cannot help in this manner, JUST BE HERE, to lend your support. Your mere presence will be noticed and appreciated.

On September 10th I observed the Oakland Scottish Rite’s production of the “Signing of the Constitution.” I have not forgotten those of you who expressed an interest in putting it on here. I think it would be a possibility early next year. Hold that thought!

Also, please don’t forget the testimonial dinner for our Illustrious Leo Mark on October 20th. Please call in your reservations soon.
