Brethren and Ladies

Everyone I’ve talked to really enjoyed the April meeting.  The dinner was good and Kari and her friend Brenna (pictured) provided us with outstanding entertainment.  I have received a huge number of compliments on their performance and have passed this on to them.  We hope to get Kari back some time in the future.
Thank you to all who participated in our Reunion on April 11th and 12th.  Everything went very well and we have added to our ranks.  Any of you that are looking to participate on one of the Degree Teams, don’t
hesitate to call me (or Bob Rowan).  I’m sure we can get you lined up. I’ve been thinking a lot about what Susan and I do with our time.  Much of our time goes to what we believe “makes a difference” in the world by making a difference in the life of one or more individuals.  Our involvement with Masonic
organizations, church, youth scholarship activities, and so on.  Our schedule is full, we’re really busy, and we very rarely have any free time.  So...why do we do it?  What is it that makes it worth it?  Well, I have an answer for you.  One that many of you have heard before, but perhaps haven’t thought about lately.  The answer is “You get out of it what you put into it”.  The more you give of yourself, the greater the rewards.  I challenge you to try it.  If it turns out I’m wrong, you can always go back to
being uninvolved.
John Wesley once wrote:
Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.
Our Scottish Rite bodies are doing things that matter, we’re having a fun time, and we’re doing a great deal to support each other.  And that’s part of what we’re all about... supporting one another and being family for one another.  You are part of that...entitled to all the rights and privileges that comes with being a part.  To repeat what I said earlier, you get out of it what you put into it.  So come down and join us....put something into it.  It matters and you will make a significant difference to the rest of us....and we’ll make a difference to you.  If you haven’t been around, come down.  You’ll be welcome.  You’ll find that you belong.  I look forward to seeing you at the meeting
