Brethren and Ladies

We had a great time at our March meeting and dinner and the luck of the Irish was with us!  If you weren’t there, you missed a good meeting, a good meal, and some good Irish humor (or at least as good as Irish humor gets).
Coming up in April we have a very special treat for all of you.  At our dinner, Kari Yancy (pictured here), who is a good friend of ours and a very talented young lady, will be providing us with some music.  She has an amazing singing voice.  She has been in several musicals and played the part of Dorothy in the American Musical Theater’s production of the Wizard of Oz.  You don’t want to miss this!
We are also having our Reunion on April 11th and 12th.  The banquet will be Saturday evening and I want to encourage all of you to attend.  Not only will you have an outstanding meal, you’ll get to meet our new candidates and their ladies.  It will also be an opportunity to give recognition to the Degree Team members.
As I’ve said before, we have a lot of people participating in the degrees and all the setup that goes around them, and there are still opportunities (and needs) for others to pitch in and help.  So, this is my pitch for you to get involved.  If there’s a particular role you’d like to do or a specific area you’d like to be involved in, let our Secretary Bob Rowan or me know.
I want to thank everyone that contributes so much of their time, energy, and effort to making our events successful.  I really do appreciate it.
I think we all know we can make a difference, but sometimes we need to feel like we are making a difference.  Author Foster C. McClellan once said, “Trust yourself.  Create the kind of self that you will be happy to live with all your life. Make the most of yourself by fanning the tiny, inner sparks of possibility into flames of achievement.”  So let’s fan those inner sparks…come on down and join us…make a difference.  Together we can achieve great things.  See you on Tuesday night!
