Brethren and Ladies:

We have now completed our first attempt at a golf tournament to raise funds for our Childrens’s Clinic.  Although most consider it a success, there were both successes and failures attached to the tournament.
We had enough door prizes and excitement for a full field of golfers, but only a small field for the event.  The Great Architect saw fit to provide one of the most beautiful days ever seen in San Jose and chose to raise the curtain as the shotgun sounded to start the round.
We had a great turn out of volunteers, a great day of golf albeit there was no instance of a hole in one, and a lot of fun was had by all and topped by a great dinner.  The Liberty Mutual participants were very complimentary and asked that they be invited again next year.
Time will tell if we will try to repeat the event.

In addition to the golf tournament, we have just completed our fall reunion.  You will see a picture of the class elsewhere in this issue and more pictures will be included in the December Rite Word.
Thank you to all officers who assisted in the reunion and I look forward to the Spring Reunion.

I want to express my thanks to Hon. Bro. Dee Ayer and Bro. Bryant Day for their consistent effort in providing input for the Rite Word for this year.  Thank you both for you constant help.  The production of this newsletter was made easier by you both.
