Brethren & Ladies:

Many new experiences will attend the San Jose Scottish Rite this year.  In point of fact this has already begun.
We have a new Personal Representative; a new corps of officers; a new design for the “Rite Word” and much more to come for the year 2011 and beyond.
To all those who helped with the installation and the events held in 2010, I give my warmest thank yous.  To those who have agreed to assist this year, you have my thanks as well and I look forward to having your assistance.
In this “Rite Word” we have a copy of the Amended by-Laws for your review.  It was presented at January’s stated meeting, but since it must “lay-over” for 30 days, we are prohibited from voted for its approval until our March stated meeting.  Please review it carefully and comment publicly or privately as you may prefer.  Proper amendment is long overdue.
Hal Leister, KCCH, Venerable Master Lodge of Perfection & BJ McCuiston, KCCH, Junior Warden Lodge of Perfection & Undersheriff of the CA Masonic Posse presented SK Ken Justus, KCCH with his Past Master Medalion from the San Jose Consistory in the Dominican Rehab facility Room 108 in Santa Cruz  on Sunday 1/30/2011.  Ken is an active member of the CA Masonic Posse.
Ken is in good spirits and is making progress with his rehab.  Release date is not determined at this time.  Ken sends his regards to all.  In the Picture with Ken is his wife Gretta, Daughter, Kim and grandson Bo.
Ken was very pleased to receive his medal.
There was not sufficient room this month to publish greetings from the San Jose Scottish Rite Clubs and two of them have not yet held their installation.  Watch for their messages.
