I recently returned from traveling to Dubai and India for 3 weeks.  Since I had never been out of the North American area, it was most definitely a learning experience for me.  For the first time in my life I was not in a predominately Christian Country and I was the oddity as a white male, definitely an eye opener.  Dubai is probably the most liberal of the Muslim states, but there was always the underlying culture present.  It was the first and probably only time I will ever see a major city that was entirely devoid of graffiti.  I was not really prepared for India. There are so many people and the way they drive is simply crazy for an American. I am really glad that I did not need to drive while I was there.  India is a study in opposites.  You can see the most amazing things and then literally across the street the most abject poverty.  I did get to see a number of historic places such as the Taj Mahal, which no picture can really do justice to, it is simply breath taking.
But now it is time to get back into the swing of things. We are about to enter our Fall Reunion and we are at the point where we are looking forward to the changing of the officer guard.  So, please start talking to the members of your lodge that are not Scottish Rite Masons about joining our great body.  And if you are interested in becoming an officer, make your desire known to one of the current officers, so that we can see about finding a spot for you.
So as always, I ask that you come out and join us. It is your Valley, so participate.

Fraternally,
Gregg Hall
