Happy New Year to all!

This is my final message as the Master of Kadosh. I want to thank everyone who gave me the opportunity to serve in this respected office. I trust I did nothing to tarnish the shine of this chair.
Brother Daniel Doornbos 32 Degree, KCCH will be the Master of Kadosh in the ensuing year and he has arranged a strong line of officers for the Consistory. Under Daniel’s leadership, I am confident the Brothers will be proud of the “Blue Coats”.
Over the last 12 months. My articles have focused on various aspects of my understanding of the writings of some of our Masonic scholars. They were intended to be thought provoking and to create discussion among the Brothers. If you have saved copies of the 2008 Rite Word issues, please take some quiet time and take another run at the various writings I humbly provided. There is much food for thought and I think some surprising challenges and ideas about the practice of Freemasonry.
In 2009, the Ill Bob Winter has asked me to serve as the director of the Scottish Rite Blue Lodge Ambassador Program. Of course I said yes and have begun the work. You will be hearing more about this program in the Stated meetings and the Rite Word. I do want you to know that it will be tailored to meet each individual Lodge’s needs and in full cooperation with the Master. I have already had numerous Scottish Rite Brothers volunteer to serve as the ambassador to their Lodge and I will be contacting others to complete this important part of the program.
Last, sincere thanks to all the Brothers who served in the Line of the Consistory for 2008. You were simply great.

Chuck Cowden
Master of Kadosh
