Greetings Brothers, Family, and Friends,

Charity, this a pillar of who we are. Through various philanthropies, and Masonic groups, millions of dollars are donated around the globe to help better so many lives. There is a another charity that we should practice, and this is a Charity of investing time into our brothers. A friend recently put it as "Helping good men become better, the ultimate fraternal charity". If we read all of 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 we are given clear speach on the values that Charity holds, and does not hold.

Verses 4-8 & 13 " 4 Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,5 Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;6 Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;7 Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity" KJV.

When we give of ourselves, this is the ultimate charity. Benjamin Franklin wrote "Masonic labor is purely a labor of love. He who seeks to draw Masonic wages in gold and silver will be disappointed. The wages of a Mason are the dealings with one another; sympathy begets sympathy, kindness begets kindness, helpfulness begets helpfulness, and these are the wages of a Mason".  When we invest in ourselves we invest in a bolder brighter future for all. We need not the months coming to remind us to be Charitable to our brothers, it is something we do day to day. Have a safe, and happy halloween.
