Our Spring Reunion has seen the largest class of candidates that we have had in the last several years.  And that is a very good thing.  Amazingly, it did not take a whole lot of effort to accomplish this.  Our Personal Representative sent out a message to the members of his lodge, advising them of the upcoming class, and suggesting that they might want to further their Masonic experience by joining the Scottish Rite.  And suddenly — we had many candidates from that lodge.  Let’s hope that our Fall Reunion will see an even bigger class!
You may have noticed that our Valley is sponsoring a number of great events this year.  We visited the U.S.S. Hornet earlier this year.  We had a wine tasting in April.  Still to come this year are the tailgating event at the Stanford football game, the visit of the Sovereign Grand Commander, the reception the Grand Master, Nights of Instruction, our big trip to New Orleans in September, and a day trip to San Francisco and Alcatraz in October.  Those that are planning these various events have been listening to our members, who have said they want to see an active and vital Scottish Rite Valley in San Jose.  So increase your own enjoyment by participating in these various activities.  I believe you will find your Scottish Rite experience improved tremendously.
Remember that this is YOUR Scottish Rite.  Please be with us when you can, participate as you are able, and let us know what you need and what you would like to see.  And of course, we always love to see you at every opportunity.

See you at the Scottish Rite.
