Alexis is a beautiful 15 year old who loves playing basketball, hanging out with friends,
surfing the net, bird watching and babysitting. She has been receiving speech therapy at the San Jose Scottish Rite Speech and Language Clinic since 2011 as her parents were concerned with her articulation skills. Alexis was diagnosed with having an articulation disorder as she distorted “ch,” “sh” /r/, /s/ and /z/ at the word to conversation level. Alexis is now working on producing the majority of these sounds in conversation! Alexis’s parents stated that since treatment began here at the Scottish Rite Clinic, “Our experience at this clinic has been wonderful! Mrs. Angela and Ms. Jenna have made speech therapy fun yet helpful. They have always been great instructors who are dedicated and do a wonderful job. Alexis has improved her communication with everyone and she feels more comfortable talking to everyone in the family. The Scottish Rite Clinic has given us a chance to have someone specialized in the speech field help her free of charge. We recommend this clinic and the staff as we want to see them help other children as they did our child. We are grateful to have found this clinic. It has been a great help to our daughter. Keep doing a wonderful job to help other people!
Thank you Scottish Rite Clinic!”
