On Saturday December 6th the San Jose Scottish Rite hosted a Christmas party to celebrate the holidays with the children and families from the Childhood Language Clinic.  There was a fantastic turnout, with over 50 families joining us for an afternoon of fun.  All past and current clients were invited, as well as their families and siblings.  Many Scottish Rite members and their wives joined the party as well.
The Scottish Rite provided delicious sandwiches, snacks, drinks and desserts.  Thanks to help from volunteers, the room was decorated with flowers and a beautiful gold Christmas tree.  Many children enjoyed dancing and singing along to the Christmas carols being played on the piano.  The children were entertained by several craft tables featuring cookie decoration, bead work and coloring.  The biggest hit of the day was a visit from Santa Clause.  All of the children sat on his lap, told him their Christmas wishes and received a special stocking filled with candy, fruit and toys.
Many parents and children alike expressed what a great time they had at the party.  It was a great way for the parents, children and Scottish Rite members to come together, meet and celebrate another successful year of services.  A very special thank you goes out to Susan Ramsey for her extraordinary talents in coordinating this wonderful event.  Many thanks go out as well to all of the volunteers from the Masonic family who contributed their time and effort to make this party such a success!
