Clinic Director's Message (March, 2010)

As Director of the San Jose Scottish Rite Children's Language Disorders Clinic, I am committed to making the Clinic the very best we can while increasing the number of children being helped.  As a small step towards this end, we recently purchased a new pre-school assessment kit that our clinicians will use to assess children’s language skills.
The San Jose Clinic is currently helping 48 children and completed over 235 treatment hours in January.  We have said goodbye with thanks to therapist Sharon Lewis, who recently left the clinic, and welcomed our newest intern, Jenna Mendonca.  Sharon’s caseload is being distributed among the other therapists.
Unfortunately, we still have 98 children on our waiting list.  Consequently, we are continuing to request your financial donations so that we can hire additional Clinic staff and reduce the case backlog.
We can always use volunteers to help maintain our Clinic and improve the appearance of the area.  If you or your lady would like to volunteer, please contact me to make arrangements.
