Clinic Director's Message for October 2012

During the month of August, we completed 221 treatment hours. A total of 49 children received speech and language services and the clinicians completed three (3) screenings. We discharged nine (9) children from our services and added eight (8) to the caseload. In addition, we increased therapy from once per week to twice per week for two current clients.
At our last Board of Directors meeting, we decided to close the waiting list, which now stands at 115 children, until January 2013. Please inform anyone interested in our speech and language services that we anticipate
reopening the waiting list in January.
A bit of news from San Jose Scottish Rite: at the September Stated Meeting, Illustrious Ken Nagel, 33°, Personal Representative of the Valley of San Jose, resigned as a Director of the California Scottish Rite Foundation. I am pleased to report that I was elected to replace him as our representative on that Foundation Board.
Your Children's Speech and Language Clinic continues to be in need of financial help from your donations. The children in the community need us to continue to provide our services, as indicated by the length of our waiting list.
Please consider making a donation to the San Jose Scottish Rite Children's Language Disorders Clinic.
Thanks again to each of you for your help for and support of our Clinic.

Durward C. Ayre
32° KCCH-Clinic Director
