Dear Ms. Sense:
First of all, I would like to thank you for helping our son, H..  We have noticed some wonderful changes in him that we attribute directly to his speech therapy. He speaks much more often, uses words he never used before (he, she, under, over, etc.)  The Childhood Speech and Disorders Clinic his helped him beyond just his speech.  He now asks for things instead of having fits, and he interacts more with people. He cries now when his feelings are hurt, which is fantastic.  He did not display this emotion before, unless it was related to pain, e.g. falling down, etc. or anger. He has truly blossomed, and this is a change that he will have for his whole life. Thank you for that.
We are so grateful to the San Jose Scottish Rite for their help and willingness to serve children with speech and language difficulties.  We also would like to thank you personally for being firm, patient, and kind to our son.  We will continue to thank Scottish Rite with contributions whenever we can, so that more children can be served, and with our prayers of gratitude.
Secondly, here is the speech assessment that the school district came up with.  They have not attached the final recommendation, which I believe will be written Thursday, November 29, 2007.  Are these scores reflective of what you see in his therapy sessions?  Even after this “assessment” it may be several months before/if they offer H. any services, so I am hoping for a second opinion!
Again, thank you so much, and H. and I look forward to seeing “Ms. Rachel, my friend,” as H. says, very soon.

Best Regards,
T. I.
