A Note From Our Clinicians (February, 2008)

As the New Year begins we would like to take this opportunity to express our thanks for the generous funding granted by the San Jose Scottish Rite Foundation and all the members of the San Jose Scottish Rite, which enables us to operate the San Jose Scottish Rite Childhood Language Clinic.
This clinic gives us, as clinicians, the very rare opportunity to serve families and children who may otherwise go untreated.  Many families cannot afford the typical insurance co-payments, let alone the full cost of a therapy session.  Because our therapy sessions are at no cost to the families, we as therapists are able to place all our focus on the child’s treatment and needs of the parents.  There is no worry that a child can’t complete treatment because they cannot afford it.
In addition to Scottish Rite funding, the clinic receives donations from families and private individuals.  These donations are greatly appreciated and help us to continue to operate the clinic.  Due to the large number of children served, the clinic is always in need of generous supporters.  All the children have different needs, so it is important that the clinic be equipped with a wide range of materials to better serve our clients and your donations help supply the testing and therapy materials that are very costly.
All donations are greatly appreciated by those we serve.  Thanks to your support, we are able to positively impact many children and families in the San Jose area.  All Scottish Rite Masons should be proud of their contribution to the community.  Thank you for this opportunity and your continued support.

Angela, Rachael, Michelle and Janet.
